Can any medications or medical conditions affect the OVRY™ Ovulation Test Strip results?

Yes. Certain drugs and prescriptions that affect a woman’s menstrual cycle (hormonal contraceptives, fertility products containing HCG or LH, acne prescriptions such as clomiphene, and hormone replacement therapy) can impact the results of an ovulation test. Results can also be affected by certain antibiotics such as tetracycline. Women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) may experience false positives. Additionally, ovulation test accuracy can be affected if a woman experiences any of the following:

  1. treatments that affect the menstrual cycle
  2. average cycle length of less than 21 days
  3. average cycle of more than 40 days
  4. a recent pregnancy
  5. recently stopped breastfeeding
  6. recently stopped hormonal contraceptives

If you aren’t sure if your results might be affected, seek medical advice.
